Directions to the Brittany Motel
Note: Computer map programs and GPS systems may work great in urban areas but they don’t work so well on our serpentine rural Vermont roads. Many of our roads have several names. Some of our roads go in different directions but not at the same intersection. Our physical street addresses, created for 911 purposes, often are not in sequential order. Please consult the directions below and do not rely exclusively on modern technology to find your way.

From New York, New Jersey and Points South
- Take New York State Thruway (Interstate 87) North to Albany
- Take I-787 North to NY Rt. 7 East through Troy, NY and continue on 7E to Hoosick, NY.
- Follow signs for Rt. 279(The road bears to the left) These directions will bypass downtown Bennington, VT.
- At end of Rt. 279 follow signs for VT Rt. 7 North
- Stay on Rt. 7 North and get off at Exit 3: Arlington/Sunderland
- Make a left at the bottom of the ramp
- Travel 1.9 miles to Historic Route 7A
- Make a right on Rt. 7A (north, toward Manchester)
- Travel 6.7 miles to the motel, which is on the right.
From Connecticut and Rhode Island
- Take I-91 North to Exit 2 in Brattleboro
- Take Rt. 30 North into Manchester
- Please note: Rt. 30 and Rt. 11 merge and become one road before you enter town.
- At the “T” make a left on to Historic Rt 7A South
- Travel 3.7 miles to the motel, which is on the left.
From Boston
- Take Rt. 2 West to I-91 North
- Follow Connecticut and Rhode Island directions above
From Northen New York State and Montreal, Canada
- Take I-87 South to exit 20
- Take Rt. 149E to Rt. 30 South
- Follow Rt. 30 into the center of Manchester
- Make a right at the light on to Historic Rt. 7A South
- Travel 3.7 miles to the motel, which is on the left.
